Join the Teen Summer Reading Program

By Phil Vigil

If you're between the ages of 12 and 19, then you're eligible to join the Teen Summer Reading Program, sponsored by the Mariposa County Library. If you like to read, imagine getting prizes for reading any book that is at your reading level. Every 200 pages, you get to pick out your favorite prize, and every 1000 pages, you get to choose from an assortment of new paperbacks to take home. The program will start June 21 and end August 16. Sign up at the Mariposa Library front desk.

Katie Hertfelder, young adult librarian, encouraged teens to take part by stating, "You get free stuff, and what else do you have to do?"
